ABOUT US

Pensando en Ellos is a nonprofit organization (501 c3) founded in 2009 in Falls Church, Virginia. We are a small group of volunteer professionals, originally from Peru, that reside in the DC metro area. We are very grateful to live in the USA because it has given us the opportunity to succeed in our lives and careers. However, we don’t want to forget our roots and we are constantly doing fundraising activities to fund school materials, build facilities for classrooms and buy school clothes for ours kids in Peru.

 With only volunteer help, we sponsored numerous fundraising events in 2018 and collected $13,000.00. With great pride we were able to build two classrooms in January 2019, with bathrooms that are handicapped equipped. However these two classrooms are not equipped with the necessary chairs and desks and a kitchen area. Our goal is to provide the furniture and kitchen equips to help our kids to be able to complete classes. You can help by giving a donation or by giving us of the greatest gift of all –your time.

Since our nonprofit’s establishment, we have helped two cities in Peru, Cartavio and Huanchaco located in Trujillo.We have donated food and school supplies for dozens of children and 50 pairs of school shoes to the most needed children in Cartavio. In Huanchaco, Trujillo we mainly focus on helping preschool children at Casita de Madera Rayito de Sol, whose mission is to prepare kids from age 2 to 6 years old to advance into 1st grade.
